sitting here, at 6.00am watching the city come alive slowly but steadily, as always.
people going where they want to go, joggers out for their usual run.
6.00am, listening to the sound of early birds in search of breakfast.
watching the sky turn from a deep, dark blue to that of a lighter hue until it soon fades to a shade of grey and at that very moment, a tinge of orange appears.
the anticipation then starts as you wait for that burst of golden sunlight to fill the sky -
the moment where everything temporarily turns to gold.
and this,
though it happens everyday,
gives people hope and faith.
to see the sky painted gold gives you a moment to be thankful for life,
for all the beautiful things it posses
and
for everything that it has given to us.
you inhale the air that has been tinted golden yellow,
as if it were pixie dust,
and it gives you the strength to live on for another day, at least.
with that, suddenly the whole city is now awake
and the hustle and bustle then begins.
but you smile to yourself as you know that today,
will be a good day.
and it all started at
6.00am.
